I exported a Solidworks 2010 3D model as a 3D PDF. The model had a simple animation associated with it and I expected to be able to play this when I opened the PDF. However when I view the PDF in Acrobat X Pro, I cannot see the animation. When I right-click on the 3D object, I do see a “Pause Animation” option which means something got exported.
If not, is there any other way to export animations from native CAD software such as Solidworks, and include them in PDFs? Are you using acrobat x? Yes, I’m using Acrobat X. They still support 3D in the PDF.
